These are certainly challenging times and there are a lot of things out of our control. What we can control is how we respond to the circumstances around us, and how we respond can certainly influence outcomes. With this in mind, here are several important actions you can take and focus on to keep your martial arts business moving in the right direction in these difficult times.
- Guard your personal good habits. In times of stress, it’s very easy to start eating bad, missing workouts, losing sleep and over stressing. Now more than ever it’s important that you take great care of yourself. It’s hard to be good for everyone else when you’re not at your best and right now, the world need you at your best.
- Be extra compassionate and sensitive to the people in your circle. Everyone processes things like this differently, and our ability to be calm and confident can be contagious.
- Get your martial arts online training program going ASAP. We are currently using YouTube, but lots of people are having luck with zoom. Remember, something is better than nothing, don’t wait until you figure out the perfect solution because that might be too late. Get something going right away your students can use.
Note: These things will certainly be helpful for your martial arts business, but equally important: when you take massive action it affects you mentally and emotionally as well. All of a sudden you don’t feel is out of control. In other words, do you want to feel better? Get to work. Stay productive. It’s the best medicine out there. Don’t forget to remain calm and confident for your team and your community.
